Method of Use

Application fields

TEOSIL 1060 is compatible with Nonionic, anionic, and cationic surfactants and polymer systems, can be used in cold liquids, and its emulsion stability is excellent, maintaining stability even when diluted with a high amount of water.

In rubber and composite product manufacturing, TEOSIL 1060 provides shine, slipperiness, non-stick properties, elasticity and ease of assembly, while also offering resistance to sunlight, stain removers, and providing water repellency.

TEOSIL 1060 is used as a raw material in the production of polishing, protective and nourishing surface care products, automotive care products, and household cleaning chemicals. It imparts resistance to detergents and stain removers, scratching, friction, abrasion, and aging.

In textile finishing, dyeing and sizing processes, TEOSIL 1060 gives Yarn and woven Fabric surfaces shine, enhances color vibrancy and depth. In yarn manufacturing, it strengthens the Yarn body, provides slipperiness, resistance to friction and high heat, enhances fluidity and ease of sewing, and provides shine and water repellency.

TEOSIL 1060 is also used as a lubricant in fiberglass filter manufacturing.

Preparation for Use

TEOSIL 1060 is diluted with cold water of medium hardness at a ratio of 1:1 to 1:10. The dilution ratio must be determined according to the surface to be applied and the desired gloss performance. The silicone emulsion diluted with water can be used for a long time; however, the quality of the water (pH level, bacteria, minerals, etc.) may negatively affect the stability of the emulsion and cause separation. Therefore, it is recommended to use the emulsion within a short time. For optimal performance, pilot-scale tests should be performed before production to determine the correct dilution ratio and usage amount.
